Privacy
This site collects almost nothing: no forms, no cookies and no tracking.
What the site records
Alexandre RD runs this site. The server that hosts it keeps an access log, as web servers do, to keep the site running, to spot abuse and to see where readers come from. For each request, it records:
- the time;
- the request: the page or file asked for, and how (its method and protocol);
- the response: its status, its size and how long it took;
- your IP address, shortened so it points to a network rather than to your device: the last of the four numbers of an IPv4 address is removed, and all but the first three groups of an IPv6 address;
- your browser and system, as your browser names them (its user agent);
- the page that linked here, if your browser sends it.
It records nothing else from your request.
How long it is kept
Log entries are deleted after 14 days. The server's disk backups hold copies of the log, and those backups expire within four weeks.
What the site does not do
- It has no forms and sets no cookies.
- It uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
- It loads no fonts, scripts or images from other companies: every file comes from this server.
- It does not sell or share what the log holds.
Links to other sites, such as LinkedIn, take you to services with their own privacy policies.
