Maximize Tech ROI

Strategy to Execution
I help organizations bridge the gap between business strategy and technology execution. With over 10 years in the IT industry serving Financial Institutions in Capital Markets, Asset Management and Banking, I've witnessed both spectacular successes and challenging failures. Although there is no silver-bullet methodology suitable for all project scenarios, several key elements are essential to success: having a clear goal, a high-level plan, a working structure and asking the right questions. At minimum, the answers to these questions should be known before diving into a new solution or undertaking.
- What specific business outcome are we targeting, and how will we measure success?
- What impacts will these changes have on existing business processes and on the ecosystem as a whole?
- Does this initiative clearly align with our strategic priorities and why is it prioritized above other options?
- Could an existing process or tool solve 80% of the problem and lead to a less complex and more manageable application portfolio?
- Which regulatory, operational, or reputational risks does this introduce, and how will we mitigate them?
These difficult questions are a sample of the often misunderstood daily reality of non-dev IT professionals working at the frontier of business and technology. Through my experience, I've learned to navigate:
